Good news on the jobs front today as it has been announced that the California-based internet company Yelp is setting up a new European HQ here in Dublin.

The announcement of Yelp’s new HQ is sure to come as good news as it will bring over 100 new jobs to Dublin, but there’s no word yet as to when the company plans to fill the positions.

Yelp, which aims to ‘connect customers with local businesses’ through it’s online review platform, said that the new jobs will be various fields including sales, account management, product engineering and finance.

“Expanding Yelp’s international operations with the opening of our new office in Dublin is a landmark moment in the company’s history,” said the company’s co-founder and chief executive Jeremy Stoppelman.

“This new office will be home to our European operations and will be the engine behind our European revenue generation efforts.”
