A new Supermac’s could be coming to a town near you.

Irish fast food chain Supermac’s has announced that six new outlets will open in the first half of this year, bringing the total number of restaurants in the country to 114.

The new outlets will open in Balbriggan in Dublin, Ballyvollane, Bandon Road and Glanmire in Cork, Naas in Kildare (Papa John’s) and Donegal Town, creating 400 jobs in the process.

Speaking at the Supermac’s National Awards in Loughrea on Tuesday night, MD Pat McDonagh said that the company is on a major recruitment drive for management staff in particular at the moment.

We will be engaging in a major recruitment drive to get staff for these new openings,” McDonagh said.

“We have career opportunities at all levels. We are looking for staff in the area of managers, store managers, assistant managers and catering assistants. We put structured career paths in place for staff that leads to store manager positions as well as site managers and area managers.

“Some of the stores that are scheduled to open will be franchised operations and we are looking for people that want a career. People that will stay with us and develop with us. A lot of our franchisees are people that started working for us initially.”

You can check out the job opportunities on the Supermac’s website.
