Following Devin Toner was (literally) a tall order, but in part two of a new JOE.ie series, it turns out Kevin McLaughlin is a dab hand in the kitchen himself.

“I’ve seen a lot of good onion choppers in my time, but that’s the best.” Rob Kearney, October 2014

Even when he was chopping up the ingredients, Leinster back row forward Kevin McLaughlin showed his expertise in the kitchen and things only got better after that.

JOE.ie teamed up with Leinster Rugby and Optimum Nutrition for a new series we’ve dubbed ‘Scrum Dine with Me’ and in the second episode, Kevin whipped up his signature dish, a sweet potato frittata, for teammates Rob Kearney and Devin Toner.

Apart from putting the dish into the oven as opposed to the grill at one point, it pretty much went off without a hitch.

Check out how Kevin got on and what Rob and Devin made of his efforts in the video above.
