Ryan Reynolds’ personal trainer reveals the secret to losing weight

Everyone can do this.

Don Saladino is a famous personal trainer in the movie industry and stars often hand over the control of their workouts and diets to him to get them in shape for upcoming roles.

His clients include Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Liev Schreiber, Sebastian Stan, Morgan Hoffman, Hugh Jackman, and David Harbour.

While workouts and diets are important for getting into shape (obviously), Saladino says that a crucial part of the process is often neglected, or grossly underestimated.

It’s something you should be getting at least eight hours of every night. Yes, sleep.

“Sleep is how we repair our hormones so that we’re functioning optimally during our workouts,” Saladino told The Daily Mail.

“You burn calories at rest and when you get proper sleep, your energy levels are better. So you’re more active during the day. I make sure I’m in bed by 9pm every night.”

Saladino places it top of his list of priorities when when he takes on a new client.

“When I meet with my clients, the first thing we talk about is sleep, then stress levels and then we go into nutrition,” Saladino said.

“The exercise we leave for last because that’s the easiest thing to take care of.”
