A proper diet for an athlete can make all the difference and this video with All Blacks nutritionist Kat Darry is a great insight into the lengths professional athletes go to get the best out of their bodies.

The video is titled “The Team behind the Team” and it details Kat’s efforts to ensure that all the players receive the “nutrients to perform at optimum pace” during training sessions and games.

One aspect that caught our attention is that the All Blacks look for players to take responsibility for their own diet and nutrition, they provide all the necessary tools for the player but the ultimate responsibility for nutrition rests with the players themselves.

JOE recently did a get ripped challenge, so we understand the struggle to constantly maintain a healthy diet and also to consume the amount of calories needed for regular exercise. Although we do concede that it is probably a lot easier when someone is preparing protein shakes and scones for you…
