Lost your mojo in the gym and can’t drag yourself up off the couch? Check out JOE’s foolproof workout plan to get your motivation back

As we roll from March into April, you might find that whatever gusto and enthusiasm you had for the gym at the start of the New Year has now gone down the drain, and it’s difficult to face getting back into the routine of going a few times a week.

Fear not, with the help of our mates at Raw Condition Gym we’ve got the perfect routine to get you fit as a fiddle and full of the vigour that you had way back in January. Personal trainer Anthony Lynch runs us through a quick all over routine that you can do for a few weeks as you start to make some balanced changes to your lifestyle.

Anthony has plenty of advice in the video, but the key is to make sure that you set some SMART goals – Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timed. Instead of giving up everything and changing all your eating and exercising all in one go, start small and make little changes.

With this routine, don’t worry too much about the eating side of things yet, just get in to the swing of going through this all-over workout two or three times a week, and keep an eye on our health section here in the coming weeks for how to advance further along this programme.

The workout in full is:

Chest Press
Seated Row
Shoulder Press
Lateral Raise
Lunges
Squats

Perform three sets of 8-10 reps of each of these exercises at a weight that you’re comfortable with, and after two weeks, bump up the weight a little if you think you can handle it.

Keep an eye out for our the rest of the workout series for a few further tips on getting back into the swing of things this month, and keep up with the latest from Raw Condition Gym on their website or check out their Facebook page and their Twitter too.
