Dr. Cian O’Neill runs us through a series of exercises that will make sure you’re at your best on the pitch
This week, Dr. O’Neill talks about pre-habilitation or prehab, which focuses on making sure that the smaller, often ignored muscles are targeted before we take to the gym floor or pitch.
Commonly, many of the muscles which control or stabilise joints can be ignored as we press on with our exercises and training regime, and they can deteriorate, which can cause an array of problems in the long run from general discomfort to injury.
Dr. O’Neill shows us a few exercises that can keep us at top form and the importance of continuing to perform these warm ups throughout the year.
