Sonic! Earthworm Jim! Street Fighter! Ecco The Dolphin!

Last year, in the run up to Christmas, Sony released the mini-PS One, which worked out to be one of the best stocking fillers in the run-up to Santy’s arrival.

And so it goes this year, with Sega releasing a Mega Drive Mini (or Genesis Mini, if you’re on the other side of the Atlantic), which will come pre-loaded with no less than FORTY old-school gems.

Some of them are absolute classics, and we’re still kind of questioning how it is that nobody has attempted to remake Ecco The Dolphin with modern day graphics. After all, if Earthworm Jim can get a reboot (which is also on this Sega Mega Drive Mini, btw!), then why not Ecco??

Anyways, here is the full games list.

New titles announced:

  • Virtua Fighter 2
  • Alisia Dragoon
  • Columns
  • Dynamite Headdy
  • Strider
  • Kid Chameleon
  • Light Crusader
  • Monster World IV

  • Road Rash II
