These are the free subscription games coming to PlayStation and Xbox in February

If you’ve got the subscriptions, there are some great new additions coming to play on your PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4 and Xbox One.

Both PlayStation and Xbox have announced the additions to their gaming subscription services for the month of February, with some taking effect from the first week of the month, and others spread out across the rest of February.

So if you’ve signed up for PS Plus and/or the Games With Gold subscriptions on your consoles, these are the new additions you can put into your library throughout February.

PS PLUS

Available to add to your library from Tuesday, 1 February to Monday, 28 February:

Planet Coaster (PS5)

Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure (PS4)

Official synopsis: “Smash skeletons, defeat dragons, and battle giant golems in this first Wonderlands adventure inspired by Borderlands. Experience the acclaimed 2013 quest that started it all in this standalone campaign jam-packed with fantasy, fun, and mountains of magical loot! EA Sports UFC 4 (PS4)

Official synopsis: “No matter how or where you play, EA Sports UFC 4 puts you at the centre of every fight. Develop and customise your character through a unified progression system across all modes. Go from unknown amateur to UFC superstar in the new Career Mode, or challenge the world in new Blitz Battles or Online World Championships to become the undisputed champ.”

GAMES WITH GOLD

Gears 5 (available from 1 to 28 February)

Official synopsis: “Experience the celebrated campaign and multiplayer, now fully optimised for Xbox Series X|S. With all-out war descending, Kait Diaz breaks away to uncover her connection to the enemy and discovers the true danger to Sera… herself.”

Resident Evil (available from 1 to 28 February)

Official synopsis: “It’s the game that defined the genre. In this remastered version, join the special forces team, S.T.A.R.S., and investigate a mysterious mansion on the outskirts of Raccoon City. Stay alert because supplies are scarce, and the living dead are all around.”

Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition (available from 16 February to 15 March)

Official synopsis: “Discover secrets, dangers, and an array of unique characters in the world of Salt. In this metroidvania-style platformer, a heroine arises out of the aether of fear to help a world on the brink of collapse. Featuring stunning handcrafted pixel art and original soundtrack compositions that bring a visual and auditory wonderland to life.”

Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb (available from 1 to 15 February)

Official synopsis: “It’s time to put on your fedora and help Indy recover one of the most powerful artefacts known to man. In epic, globe-spanning fashion, take on Nazis and the Asian underworld to track down the mysterious Heart of the Dragon before it falls into hostile hands.”

Lost Planet 2 (available from 16 to 28 February)

Official synopsis: “After 10 years removed from the original title, return to the troubled planet torn apart from the ongoing battle for thermal energy. Play four player co-op and customise your character with an arsenal of weapons and vehicles to pilot.”
