The free subscription games for PlayStation and Xbox in July
If you've got the PS Plus and/or Games With Gold subscriptions, here are the new additions on your PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4 and Xbox One this month.
Both PlayStation and Xbox have announced the additions to their gaming subscription services for the month of July, with some taking effect from the first week of the month and others spread out across the rest of it. So if you've signed up for PS Plus and/or the Games With Gold subscriptions on your consoles, these are the new additions you can put into your library throughout July.
PS Plus (available until Monday 31 July)
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Cross-Gen Bundle (PS5/PS4)

Alan Wake Remastered (PS5/PS4)

Xbox Games With Gold
Darkwood (available from 1 to 31 July)
Official synopsis: "Roam by day, survive the night. Darkwood is a different type of survival horror game that builds tension through slow-burn atmosphere without relying on jump scares. While the sun is out, explore an open world of the corrupted woods to scavenge weapons and materials. When The Past Was Around (available from 16 July to 15 August)
Official synopsis: "Discover the touching and bittersweet love story of Eda and Owl.
