WATCH: Rick and Morty played the new Fallout 76 for nearly three hours

They were joined by famous rappers Logic and Ninja on the stream.

In a rather unique way of promoting a game, animated characters Rick and Morty sat down to play almost three hours of the new Fallout game, and were joined by real-life rap stars Logic (he appeared in animated form in an episode of the show) and Ninja.

In the video below, you need to go just beyond the 30-minute mark to get to the good stuff, but then it gets funny very quickly, as Rick tells the group that he immediately wants to find a nuclear bomb so they can set it off.

There are some great interactions between the group, which fans of the show (who are desperately waiting for the new season to arrive) will find some joy in:

Morty: “I feel bad for the robots, they didn’t know any better.”

Rick: “Morty, come on. This is a video game here. It’s just a video game.”

Morty: “I know but it’s so realistic, Rick. It’s just like that one movie.. with the robots. […] Hey Logic. My rap name would be Illogic.”

Logic: “Because you’re ill?”

Rick: “I think it’s just because he’s an idiot.”

As with any technological event like this, there are some bugs in the machine, as echoes of each conversation can be heard all over the place, and some dodgy framerate issues get in the way sometimes.

That doesn’t stop everyone involved from having about 150-minutes of non-stop fun, especially since Rick and Morty react realistically to what they see in front of them: “In what other game can you blow off one of the heads of a mutant two-headed cow?”

Fallout 76 is released on Wednesday 14 November on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
