“Nae bother, big man.”
Last week, Nintendo announced Pokémon Shield and Pokémon Sword – the new instalment of the series that will mark the first title on the Switch.
Notably, they revealed that the game will be set in the United Kingdom (or at least a world based on the country).
That led to a lot of Americans, in particular, making some lame British jokes.
So, Scottish games journalist Chris Scullion took it upon himself to produce an accurate Glaswegian Pickachu.
And it is quite something…
I've seen some terrible Scottish accents doing the rounds as English and American folk try to make 'hilarious' Pokemon Sword and Shield memes. Yer man Scullion's decided to show you how Scottish Pokemon SHOULD be done (contains swearing, because Glasgow). Accept no imitations. pic.twitter.com/ASTKRUyfzH

That wasn’t the only good British Pokémon tweet though, by any means.

Wow, bold move of Nintendo to have the new Pokémon games set in a region inspired by the UK pic.twitter.com/vM3NGV4rLO
