Fancy a brand new iPhone?

If you’re a student, this time of year normally means one thing, you’ll spend all your time indoors. Hunched over a laptop, on an overcrowded desk in the library as your exams loom large.

You could probably do with a break from all that college work. How about a treasure hunt to bring you out of your study hovel?

Vodafone X have a brand new iPhone 8 to give away in Griffith College on Tuesday, 22 May, at 12 pm. Now, you’re probably wondering how you can get your hands on this magnificent bounty.

The folks over at Vodafone X have created Japanese tin foil balls and hidden them around the campus. ‘What on earth is a Japanese tin foil ball?’ we hear you ask. Well, take a look the video below for an explanation.

So basically, it’s just a perfectly round, shiny, metal ball. They’ll be hidden somewhere around the campus tomorrow for you to root around for.

Here’s how it’ll all go down. If you fancy getting your hands on the iPhone you’ll need to pay close attention to the JOE Instagram stories tomorrow to find out where the marked locations will be.

Once you have the locations, all you need to do is get to the chosen locations around campus. Take a selfie at each spot with the tin-foil ball you’ve found and post it to your Twitter account along with the hashtag #VodafoneX. The winner will be the first person to take a selfie at each location on campus, along with the coinciding tin-foil ball.

Best of all, it’s an excuse to detach yourself from the wretched desk in the library and have a bit of craic.

Vodafone X allows students to enjoy 20GB of 4G data including Spotify Premium, unlimited weekends or Sky Sports extras – all for just €20 top up every 28 days.
