Competition: Win tickets to the legendary Limerick leg of the JOE Rugby Roadshow
Well, technically we can't call it legendary until it's over but we know it's going to be legendary because it's in Limerick. Are we right?
After huge success in Dublin and Cork so far, the JOE Rugby Roadshow is coming to Limerick just in time for the hugely-anticipated Heineken Cup quarter-final between Munster and Toulouse on April 5 and we want you to join in the fun with some of the sharpest minds and wittiest characters to have played in the famous red jersey in recent years.
But unfortunately Ronan O'Gara, Mick Galwey and Peter Clohessy are unavailable on the night so you'll have to make do with Jerry Flannery, David Wallace and Marcus Horan in the fourth JOE Rugby Roadshow in association with Heineken, which we've no doubt the lovely people of Limerick will ensure is the best yet.
The event will take place in Nancy Blake's on Denmark Street, one of the most popular drinking emporiums in the Treaty City the night before the big game on Friday, April 4. Shortly after the doors open at 6pm, Jerry, David and Marcus will be looking ahead to Munster's clash with Toulouse and the other quarter-finals involving Leinster and Ulster, there'll no doubt be some talking points from the Leinster v Munster clash this weekend and plenty of reflection on what was a hugely successful first Six Nations under Joe Schmidt and the farewell of a certain Brian O'Driscoll.
In the second half of the show, the panel will be taking questions from the audience and while you can be as serious as you like, bear in mind that at the most recent roadshow, the question that prompted most discussion amongst the panel involved a query about what size of an animal they could realistically single-handedly cling-film to a lampost. We sh*t you not.
Trust us, you do not want to miss this opportunity to get up close and personal with some of your rugby sporting heroes. Want proof? Just check out the hilarious highlights from the most recent JOE Rugby Roadshow in The Bath Pub in Dublin.
The panel will also be discussing their win, lose or draw predictions as part of the evening’s proceedings and you can too as you will have the opportunity to pit your own Mystic Meg-like predicting abilities against those of the experts', as Heineken's ‘Star Predictor Game’ will allow you to be in with a chance to win spot prizes on the night.
It won’t be just your rugby knowledge and know-how that you’ll have a chance to show off though, as the excellent Heineken ‘Get In The Game’ virtual kicking game will also put your penalty-kicking abilities to the test as you channel your inner ROG and Johnny Sexton.
No messing on the night though, the bouncers will have also been using the simulator to practise in case they need to boot you out of the bar at any point.
All you have to do to be in with a chance of attending this brilliant exclusive event is answer the question below.
