COMPETITION: Win a VIP Day racing at the amazing Listowel Harvest Festival
It's the last big summer festival of the year.
The Listowel Harvest Festival is now the joint-longest racing festival in Ireland, seven days in duration, the same as the Galway Races and second in attendances only to that great event. It's running from Sept 11-17.
It's the last festival of the summer so punters tend to make the most of it and get involved in most of the festivities. Firstly it's in Kerry, ergo giving it a head start almost over any other county. Secondly, it's horse-racing, glorious horse-racing.
Ah yes racing. It’s a feeling you won’t find anywhere else. It’s the whole experience. It’s that feeling you get in the packed stands or watching the theatre of the parade ring. It’s the anticipation as the races unfold out on the track. From the elegance and colour of ladies days to the party atmosphere of the music nights, you and your friends are spoiled for choice.
Seriously though, are you still here? What are you waiting for? Embrace the feeling of a day at the races. Play the odds, raise a glass and enjoy good times with friends. It’s time to go racing because nothing else feels like this.
We are giving one of our readers the chance to win a fantastic prize. The prize includes lunch for two including race cards and admission to the Lyons East River Best Dressed Man Day at the Listowel Harvest Festival on Thursday 15th September.
