American Made (released 25 August)
“My name’s Barry Seal. Some of this sh*t really happened.”
As the toe-tapping and tense trailer below says, American Made is based on an unbelievable true story. Tom Cruise has reunited with his Edge Of Tomorrow director, Doug Liman, to play Barry Seal, a pilot and a hustler who was unexpectedly recruited by the CIA to run one of the biggest covert operations in US history.
As a result, Barry got himself into all sorts of outrageous situations and, by the looks of it, had some wild adventures along the way.
Plus, as well as Pablo Escobar and action galore, American Made also has a dancing Domhnall Gleeson as the excellently-named Monty Schafer, so what’s not to love?
Remember folks, all of this is legal… if you’re doing it for the good guys.
The excellent news is that we have tickets to give away to a Special Preview Screening of American Made, taking place on Tuesday 22 August in The Light House Cinema, Smithfield, at 6.45pm.
