10 of the best beer gardens in Ireland to check out during the heatwave

Eric Lalor

Sun’s out, pints out.

As you are more than aware, we are currently a country experiencing temperatures like never, or at least very rarely before. It’s official, we are in the midst of a heatwave.

We may be getting notions about ourselves being one of those hot countries, but in the end we always revert to one of our favourite pastimes: going to the pub.

In this weather, the pubs with beer gardens are cleaning up, so we thought we’d ask our readers on Facebook and Instagram where are the best beer gardens in Ireland and they responded in kind.

We’d also like to point out that a single chair at the front door does not constitute a beer garden, folks.

If you’re in any of these areas over the weekend, you might pop in and sample the sheer awesomeness of their beer gardens. In no particular order, because they all look pretty amazing, we’ve listed the top 10 below.

And if you are going to be getting the drinks in this weekend, make sure to drink responsibly; DrinkAware have released some advice about consuming alcohol during a heatwave, which you can read here.
