This Longford man’s love of comedy has led him to major TikTok success

2023 has been a fantastic year for TikTok in Ireland.

New stars like Garron Noone, James Doyle, and Helen Drumm from Sound Quality Gifts in Monaghan have given us so much entertainment over the past year.

This upwards trajectory can be traced all the way back to 2020, when everything stopped due to the coronavirus pandemic.

During lockdown, we all had to come up with new ways to entertain ourselves and our families.

One Longford man, Adam Kelly (2BigLugs), turned to his love of comedy to entertain his parents while at home.

Kelly started posting the short bits to his Snapchat story for his friends, eventually moving to TikTok.

Now, the Longford man has over 1.5 million followers on social media, with a burgeoning stand-up career in the works, and opportunities to work in the medium he loves.
