You need to play this addictive video game about the Pope in Ireland

Rudi Kinsella

This is extremely fun.

In case you haven’t heard, Pope Francis is coming to Ireland this weekend.

The country has spent the past few weeks making sure everything is suitably prepared for him, with buses being badly affected and more recently, Gardai releasing information for cyclists in Dublin this weekend.

But these aren’t the only preparations being made for the Papal Visit.

There has even been a video game based on the trip.

‘Popemobile’ sees you in control of the Pope’s car as you try and make sure he attends all of the events he is supposed to throughout the weekend.

First, you must get out of Knock, which isn’t too difficult. Then you race in Phoenix Park. Before the granddaddy of them all – Croke Park.

All of these races pit you against the clock. Could you live with yourself knowing you are the reason that Pope Francis is late for one of his services this weekend?

Could you handle the pressure? Click here to play the game and find out.

The game was made by the folk over at Social Arcade, who have also made a game which follows Indiana Jones as he tries to collect as many loaves of Brennan’s Bread as possible.
