You can buy Four Loko in Ireland now

Jade Hayden

No, this is not a drill.

Four Loko – yes, the Four Loko – is officially coming to Irish stores. And what’s more is it’s already available to buy ahead of the May Bank Holiday weekend.

The alcoholic drink, best known as the fuel of every J1 student who has ever graced the shores of the States, has been making nights out wilder ever since the mid noughties, and now it’s about to take the Irish summer by storm.

The sweet, strong, punchy drinks have long been known as the “epic fuel to your epic stories” (self-proclaimed, would you believe?) and as it turns out, you can already buy them across select off-licences in four intriguing flavours.

“As off-trade continues to grow and on-premises businesses get back on their feet following a year like no other, it’s great to be offering a new fun and innovative brand to the Irish market, which we know will genuinely excite Irish consumers,” said brand manager Gina Holland.

It sure will, Gina. You can count on that.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new flavours:

  • Four Loko Gold tastes like sweet fruits and tutti fruity combined.
  • TFour Loko Blue has a berry blast flavour with a hint for fresh meadow dew.
  • Four Loko Fruit Punch blends together fruit flavours.
  • Four Loko Sour Apple is a sweet, tart and tangy flavour all in one.

Each Four Loko drink comes in a 440ml can, includes 8.5%ABV, and costs €5.00.

They are already available to buy in Molloys Off Licenses, Carry Out, Costcutter, Spar, Eurospar, and others, and will be available in SuperValu and Centre in the beginning of May.
