most charming towns in Ireland

Probably not surprisingly, Kerry appears to have more charm than any county in Ireland.

Three towns in the Kingdom make the list of the 20 most charming towns in Ireland as compiled by travelmag.com this week.

Like any list of this kind, the exclusion of towns in various counties throughout Ireland was likely to cause controversy, so in an effort to be as thorough as possible, the opinions of 300 writers, photographers and travel professional were sought in a fairly comprehensive survey.

Towns of all sizes were considered, although Ireland’s main five cities (Dublin, Galway, Cork, Waterford and Limerick) were excluded, as were the many beautiful destinations throughout the country that would be considered as villages.

In the end, the 20 towns that accumulated the most votes made the final list, with 12 counties in total represented; you can check out more detailed reasons for their inclusion here.
