Nobody’s safe…

Getting cheated on is indisputably one of the worst things that can happen to a person, and it’s enough to shake your trust in humanity for at least a little while.

Anyone who has been cheated on and feels strongly about it should take note of the figures that the Daily Mirror has obtained from Victoria Milan, a dating website specifically geared to help people have affairs.

According to the Mirror, the website has a staggering 75,000 accounts registered in the Republic of Ireland — suggesting that a pretty sizeable portion of our population is either ready to have an affair, or at least ready to assist somebody else who is.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Dublin contributes the most to the site’s user-base with 7% of Irish users hailing from the capital. If anything, this number seems low given that roughly a quarter of Ireland’s entire population lives in Dublin.

Cork came in at second place, with 5% of users, and then Sligo came in at third place despite its meagre population of 19,452.

The rest of the top ten was made up of Kilkenny, Longford, Westmeath, Clare, Kildare, Donegal and Waterford.
