Wild beasts such as lions and tigers rarely make for good house pets, as this unfortunate documentary maker found out last year.

The following footage, from Barcroft TV, shows how big cats can retain their wild tendencies regardless of how ‘domesticated’ their owners think they are. According to Barcroft TV, the footage was captured for a “TV documentary in the Czech Republic in November 2013, but the footage has only just been released.” Apparently, the lioness’ owners have ‘domesticated’ the big cat since birth, but she lashed out at one of the documentary’s production team leaving him with scratches on his back and chest.
