Let them know.

Pros: 1) There’s going to be a really good mass being said in Phoenix Park and Knock over the next few days. 2) We’re all going to heaven lads… waahey! 3) It’s reason to be excited for Catholics in the country.

Cons: 1) Traffic will be absolutely crap. 2) The taxpayer is probably going to have to foot the bill. 3) Most importantly, the Pope’s visit has rightfully highlighted the litany of scandals and abuse in the Catholic church.

As previously reported, the streets around Dublin and Mayo are going to be wedged as Pope Francis arrives in Ireland and even if you’ve got zero plans to attend, there is a possibility that you might be heading into Dublin’s city centre.

That’s because Brasserie Sixty6 will be offering a free main course for any customer that’s named Francis, Frances, Francine, Fran, Franny, Frannie or Frank over the weekend.

As they state on their official Facebook page: “Dublin Town remains open while welcoming his Holiness Pope Francis to our great city and so is Brasserie Sixty6. We have a special offer for everyone whose name is: Francis, Frances, Francine, Fran, Franny, Frannie or Frank. Get a free main course at Brasserie Sixty6 this weekend!”

We’re expecting a bigger turnout that FrankFest 2017 – granted, that doesn’t exist but we’d like to think it does.

In the immortal words of Frank Reynolds, “It’s going to be a very classy affair.”
