Fancy a scoop of glow-in-the-dark jellyfish ice-cream?

JOE

The good news is that it can be yours for the bargain price of just €165 per scoop

We’re not exactly foodies here at JOE, but at the same time we like to try new things and experience the world a bit. One food that we’ll probably never experience because we don’t have the money or desire to try is glow-in-the-dark jellyfish ice-cream.

Apparently its inventor, Charlie Harry Francis, who owns ice-cream company Lick Me I’m Delicious, stated that the idea to make it glow in the dark did indeed come from jellyfish, and he worked with a company in China to produce a clacium activated protein that would have the same effect.

Francis told Mashable that he grew up making ice-cream as a kid in Wales, and has made some pretty extraordinary concoctions at his parlour already, with roast beef, horseradish and Yorkshire pudding being among the most interesting.

If you want to try the fantastic sounding ice-cream, all you need is £140 (around €165) for a scoop, and don’t worry too much as Francis assured everyone that he’s tried it and it doesn’t seem to be toxic. What’s next on the list then for the cold concoction connoisseur? Why, invisible ice cream of course! We’ll believe it when we see it.
