This list is definitive, and is the result of extensive research.
We’ve consulted chocolate experts up and down the office to rank the best bars (and bags) on sale in your Maces, Spars, Centras, Londises, local shops and bars up and down the country.
We have included all proper-sized bars, although we break this rule for a Curly Wurly, because it’s the law.
You may disagree with us, and that is your right in a democracy, but rest assured this list is finely honed by the chocolate cognoscenti.

Vastly underrated, substantial and tasty.
8. Cadbury’s Caramel
