Stephen and Shannon Parker shot the best ad we’ve ever seen for holidaying in Ireland and now they are getting a reward from Tourism Ireland.

Called ‘A Fortnight Plus Half – An Ireland Adventure’ the video went super viral about a month ago and was instantly hailed as one of the best advertisements for holidaying in Ireland ever created.
Covering virtually every corner of the island, and expertly put together by Stephen, a video editor, it made Ireland look like the best place in the world to spend your hols, which we all know it is.
From the time it hit the internet people commented that the tourist authorities should sign Stephen and Shannon up to promote the country and now it seems Tourism Ireland are taking the first step.
Tourism Ireland have invited the dynamic duo back to visit here again in 2014 and they have also promised to trace Steophen’s roots, as his family originally hail from Dublin.
CEO of Tourism Ireland Niall Gibbons told the Irish Independent: “Their video is a superb showcase of the island of Ireland from the dramatic beauty of places like the Giant’s Causeway and Connemara National Park, to the rich history of our heritage properties like Dunluce Castle and Dunguaire Castle, which also manages to convey the friendliness and the warm welcome people receive when they come here.”
In fairness, it is the least the Parkers deserve for all the work they put in and the countless thousands of people who probably booked their holidays to Ireland after watching the clip. Let’s hope they bring their cameras again.
