Muniz, famous for his role as titular character in Fox TV show Malcolm in the Middle, tweeted “I was in the hospital last Friday. I suffered a ‘Mini Stroke’, which was not fun at all. Have to start taking care of my body! Getting old!”

Muniz, 27 today, was said to have been slurring his speech and acting oddly enough for his friends to hospitalize him. The Doctors diagnosed a mini stroke, medically known as a transient ischemic attack. This means blood flow is cut off to part of the brain for a period of time, up to a day and sometimes for an hour or two.

Muniz has spent less time acting in recent years in favour of a career as an open-wheel racing car driver and a drummer for the band Kingsfoil.
