One of Ireland’s most beloved ice-creams is coming back just in time for summer

It’s back by very, very popular demand.

Irish summers tend to be brief (if they even exist at all), but the arrival of the sun and the slightest rise in temperatures leads to a dramatic increase in our appetite for ice-cream.

With that in mind, you’ll be glad to know that one of the all-time classics, the Super Split, is about to make a return to freezers in stores throughout Ireland.

HB reckon that, according to their recent research, 96% of Irish people are craving the taste of the iconic ice-cream, so they’ve relaunched it with a brand new name.

From now on, it will simply be known as SPLIT.

Whatever about the new name, as long as it still combines the glorious mix of orange and vanilla ice-cream as always, then the public will be happy.

Commenting on the return of the Super Split, a spokesperson on behalf of HB said: “We’ve received several heartfelt emails, handwritten letters and social media messages asking us to bring back this legend, and we listened.

“We’ve decided to give the name a makeover, from Super Split to SPLIT, but fans old and new can rest assured that the great taste they’ve come to know and love, is still the exact same.”

HB SPLIT is now available in multipack format in stores nationwide; for more information, check out HB ice-cream on Facebook.
