We’re not crying, you’re crying.
The lockdown has been hard on everyone, but some of those hardest hit are grandparents who can no longer play with and hug their grandchildren.
One such pair is Tom and his Nanny Pat, who featured on last year’s Late Late Toy Show.
The two haven’t been able to see each other since containment measures have been introduced, but last night they shared their first Skype call, and did so before the entire country no less.
Just like before, Tubridy surprised the young man with his Nanny Pat, and the joy was evident on the young lad’s face.
“I can’t believe how you’re on. How’d you get on?” Tom asked, to which his beloved grandmother joked “I get many places.”
On her first ever Skype call, Pat told told Tom: “I can’t wait to give you a big, big, big hug,” and the young fella said “I’m the same.”
Tom told Ryan that the first thing he’d do when the lockdown ended was go and give his nanny a big hug, adding “I don’t know how I’ll down to her house but I’ll get down there somehow anyway.”
