“Ladies with lovely legs” urged to enter a Kerry competition that’s straight out of Father Ted

Conor Heneghan

“Of course, they all have lovely legs.”

Ladies with lovely legs in Kerry are being encouraged to enter a competition in Kerry that will see the winner collect €100 and a year’s supply of tights (worth €200).

The competition, which was launched by Radio Kerry’s Andrew Morrissey this week, is being run by Listowel fashion outlet East River, with wannabe entrants having until Valentine’s Day, February 14, to submit pictures of their lovely legs to the East River Facebook page.

According to the Kerryman, East River owner Pat Lyon is running the competition firmly in the spirit of fun and, as you can see here, there have already been a number of entries.

Let’s hope Andrew can avoid potential accusations of favouritism as skilfully as Father Ted did all those years ago.
