That is likely to bring above-average rainfall totals across the country, though temperatures will stay higher than average, with the south and east enjoying the warmest conditions.

For the second week of August, 10-16, there is less confidence in the forecast, but there is an indication that high pressure will build from the south, keeping temperatures above average and the best of the heat in the south, with rainfall around average for the time of year.
