PYT in Philadelphia claims to be ‘home of America’s craaaziest burgers’. This particular burger, containing deep-fried Twinkies, could be the maddest of them all.
We know that when it comes to many things food related, the American philosophy is generally bigger is better – they might even argue this isn’t confined to food but that is a separate discussion – and this concoction of a burger falls into that category. What it contains is quite staggering/disgusting, depending on your viewpoint.
With a beef and pork pattie, strips of crispy bacon, American cheese and two deep-fried Twinkies, the burger comes out at around 1,100 calories. Just for comparison purposes, a Big Mac is less than half that amount.
The $12 Deep-Fried Twinkies Burger is part of PYT’s Burger of the Week special, and will be available until Sunday November 3 and according to one woman, “it tastes like magic in the mouth”.
Forget seeing, tasting is believing.
