A person in the London Borough pays respect to the man who put the place on the map…
The tributes for comedy actor Rik Mayall have been pouring in since the sad news of his death came through yesterday. The 56 year old, who starred in the Young Ones, Blackadder and Bottom, was found dead in his home in London with the cause of death yet to be determined.
One of the nicest tributes has come from a resident of Hammersmith Broadway where his sitcom Bottom was set. A blue plaque has been erected commemorating the time he “punched his friend in the balls on a bench near this spot.”
Beautiful and moving we’re sure you’ll agree…
