Well played.
Approximately 50,000 people in Mayo have been inconvenienced by
a boil water notice that was issued following the detection of the parasite, Cryptosporidium, in the Lough Mask Regional Public Water Supply.
Consumers have been advised to boil water before drinking, preparing food, brushing teeth and making ice due to the presence of cryptosporidium, which can cause gastrointestinal illnesses such as diarrhoea.
While it’s an issue for homes in the affected areas, it’s also an issue for bars and restaurants that need to prepare food and provide drinking water, but the quick-witted folks at the House of Plates restaurant in Castlebar chose to make light of the situation on Saturday.
