Certain rules and restrictions apply regarding the purchase of alcohol in Ireland. For example, you’re not allowed purchase alcohol on Good Friday (barring certain exceptions), while off-license sale of alcohol is only permitted between 10.30am and 10pm on weekdays and 12.30pm to 10pm on Sundays. In one supermarket in Cashel, there appears to be a limit on the number of spirit bottles one customer can buy and though some may want to stock up for a party, we doubt too many find the quota system too much of an issue.
