PIC: The quota of spirit bottles per customer in this Cashel supermarket is pretty generous

Conor Heneghan

We doubt too many people would be going back for more the following day.

Certain rules and restrictions apply regarding the purchase of alcohol in Ireland.

For example, you’re not allowed purchase alcohol on Good Friday (barring certain exceptions), while off-license sale of alcohol is only permitted between 10.30am and 10pm on weekdays and 12.30pm to 10pm on Sundays.

In one supermarket in Cashel, there appears to be a limit on the number of spirit bottles one customer can buy and though some may want to stock up for a party, we doubt too many find the quota system too much of an issue.
