The weather hasn’t quite turned the corner into the oncoming sarcastic winter months yet, so we still need a little blast of coolness to keep us fresh

It’s fierce mild out there these days as we head towards autumn, and while it hasn’t been as sunny as we would have liked, it’s still “awful close”, as our parents might say.

With that in mind, our mates at Nivea sent us over their Cool Kick anti-perspirant to have a try of, and see if we could keep ourselves cool despite the humidity.

It worked pretty well we have to admit, and gave us a nice refreshing blast of coolness when we needed it (sweating under the pressure in here of keeping all you guys entertained, of course). One quick application also did us for the day, so the one can will last a long time even though it’s pretty small.

That comes in handy when you’re packing up your gym bag, which is almost always a tight squeeze between the runners, a change of clothes, towels and all the other bits and pieces that take up space.

We found it was great if you’re headed to the gym on your lunch break or you want to get a session in before you head to the office in the morning. These tend to be pretty busy periods in there, and the changing rooms get fairly warm with the hot water from the showers steaming the place up. It’s pretty unpleasant to throw on a fresh shirt when you’re still sweating, so the coolness that we got from the spray was nice and refreshing, and made sure that we didn’t get any pit stains on our new shirt.

It also smells nice without being overpowering. There’s a hint of citrus without being stinging the nostrils, as Ron Burgundy himself would say, and it leaves you feeling nice and fresh. It’s also got no alcohol or colourants in it, so it’s easy on the skin for those of us with a sensitive disposition under the arms.
