Gearoid Farrelly is a familiar face on the Irish comedy circuit and we caught up with him ahead of his appearance in Whelan’s on Saturday May 9th with his brand new live show.

Do you think there is life on other planets?
I hope not but I’d say there probably is somewhere. If there is I hope they’re all like A.L.F. or Roger from American Dad. Everyone loves a sassy alien.
What advice would you give to your adolescent self?
Chill. Out. I was real worrier. Your hair doesn’t get any better but you will find the right wax. Don’t worry about B*witched. They will be ok for money. They will even have a comeback and be fine.
If you could send one person to the moon, who would it be?
The ‘no’ campaigners…because seriously…..
What is your idea of heaven?
A beach and a book!
What is your karaoke song of choice?
Usually ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ by Tiffany and I have also done a mean ‘Like A Prayer’… I surprised myself.
What is the weirdest dream you’ve ever had?
Once had a dream I was doing a gig and everyone was sitting backwards. Really weird. That hardly ever happens in real life.
Who else would you want to be for the day?
Anybody who is loaded. I’d look up Gearoid Farrelly on Facebook and pay off his mortgage.
