The week that’s in it has us feeling a little patriotic. And hey, can you blame us?
It’s been a series of weeks that’s involved snowman-building, storm-chasing, drop-goal kicking, president-visiting, festival-anticipating, and impulse bread-buying – and how that couldn’t make you proud to be from here, we don’t even want to know.
Lest we forget that our national day is yet to come.
Yes, this weekend brings the holiday of our patron saint – a day created in order to celebrate all things Irish, both at home and abroad – and bloody hell, do we have a lot to celebrate.
To do so accordingly, Ireland.ie has released a video lauding Ireland, its culture and its people for all their worth. And we can tell you for certain, that this little number is one to remember.

Featuring iconic Irish scenes from Father Ted, Brooklyn, State buildings, Tommy Tiernan gigs, The Cranberries videos, Trócaire expeditions and The Late Late Toy Show – this three minute clip entitled #ThisIsIreland may move you to the point of tears.
Well, perhaps after a heavy night anyway.
