Shopper claims to have been ‘violently sick’ after discovering a worm in her chicken slice

We can’t blame this woman if she never purchases a chicken tikka slice again.

We can’t blame this woman if she never purchases a chicken tikka slice again.

Kathryn Thompson was in her local Iceland store in Devon according to The Metro when she purchased an Indian chicken tikka slice, which she served up to her grandkids upon arrival home. And that is where the trouble started.

“I was chewing when I spotted this worm on my plate and I just spat out my food everywhere,” she told the paper.

“I had cut the slices up and was sharing them with my young grandchildren and immediately snatched them away. It was just disgusting.”

Whatever about the young kids’ reaction, the woman was sick to her stomach and admitted to spending the night in the bathroom after her ordeal at the dinner table.

“I spent the night retching and it was like I could feel it crawling in my stomach whenever I thought about it. I have another packet of the slices in my freezer but I don’t want to even touch them now.”

It isn’t the only food horror story we have seen recently, with another British consumer finding a deadly spider among their shopping.

Iceland for their part have confirmed they have started an investigation into the incident, but we don’t expect the chicken tikka slices to be in high demand after this unfortunate story.

Now, who’s hungry?
