Someone tried to sell naked photos of Sia to her fans, so she just leaked them herself

"Everyday is Christmas!"

Despite all of the benefits of being rich and famous, there is a pretty dark side to the world of celebrity.

Those famous folk must be constantly bracing themselves for the latest invasion of privacy, with the ultimate violation being naked photos being put out into the public.

Whether taken with a long lens, or hacked from their iCloud, it is a sickening act, and a mostly pointless one, as when you get right down to it… it isn’t like their naked body is going to look any different to pretty much every other naked body out there.

Sure, they might have a better physique, but come on, is it really all THAT important you get to see your favourite actor, singer or athlete in the nip?

Jennifer Lawrence, Miley Cyrus, Emma Watson and Scar-Jo are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the list of (mostly female) celebs with naked pics or footage to be found online.

The latest celebrity to be added to this pile of wrongdoing is singer-songwriter Sia, who took to Twitter at 2.30am GMT with the following message:

“Someone is apparently trying to sell naked photos of me to my fans. Save your money, here it is for free. Everyday is Christmas!”

This was accompanied by a picture of Sia in the nude, from behind (even in long lenses, we don’t get a look at her face), with her bottom out. We’re not going to post the pic here, because if you need to see it so badly, you can find it easily enough.

Considering that we can’t see her face, she could be mistaken for anyone, but instead Sia took ownership of the situation. When backed into a disgusting corner, she made the best move imaginable, and for that we must congratulate her.

Also, props for the “Everyday is Christmas!” line, considering she has a Christmas album out on Friday 17 November called, and get this, Everyday Is Christmas!

Well played, Sia.
