As it turns out, the peak search time for Irish people going on their summer holidays tends to be in late July and the most popular time of the week to search for a holiday is 9-10pm on Monday, possibly as a method of overcoming the Monday blues.
The survey found that an average stay on holiday for an Irish person is four days and they’re prepared to spend approximately £118 per night on a hotel, compared to, for example, £150 by UK holidaymakers and £96 by tourists from Spain.
