Teachers do not need another mug!

Schools are winding down for the Christmas break but we’re now panicking about what to buy our children’s teachers as a ‘thank you’ gift.

We know we don’t need to pick something up for them, but it’s something we did as kids and it’s nice to make people feel appreciated.

Teachers are often showered with the same gifts every year. The special ‘best teacher’ mugs, the giant boxes of chocolates and bath sets, but one has revealed what they really want. And it’s pretty easy.

Teachers reveal what presents they really want for Christmas

Teacher Jac Farley explained to her followers on TikTok that gift cards are the best present.

“If you are a parent buying presents for a teacher this year, listen up because this is for you,” she told TikTok.

Jac continued, “First and foremost, of course, any gift you get us, we appreciate, especially if it has a note from a parent or a student.”

“Gift cards are truly all I ever hear everybody say is what they want,” she said.

The gift card can be for anything like a local cafe, a nail salon, or a nearby supermarket.

“When I get these gift cards for Christmas, it feels like a nice treat that I can go out for lunch and not spend my own money to treat myself.

Many teachers took to the comment section to agree with Jac. They said getting a little gift card can really brighten someone’s day.

They also come in handy when the school year starts back and someone needs a coffee or lunch in a local cafe.

If, like us, you’ve left the Christmas shopping until the last minute then fear not, gift cards are the way to go.
