This week’s Engine Room Show kicks off with the lads talking about Dave Moore’s doppelganger, Dave Humphreys talks about the new Seat Cupra and Cooper tells us about his bike…

On this week’s show, Dave Humphreys fills us in on his trip to Barcelona to check out the all-new and extremely exclusive Seat Ibiza Cupra, you can check out more about that here. However, Moore has a few gripes about the ‘Spanish’ motor…

The lads then get onto the topic of car colours and we’d have to agree with Moore when he says there’s a rake of new white cars on the road that don’t necessarily look fantastic here in gloomy Ireland (they do look great in Spain… and by ‘they’ we mean the new Ibiza Cupra and the Mazda6’s new Soul Red).

Cooper rolled down to the podcast on his motorbike and he discusses his reason for taking up a whole parking space. So it’s not all about four-wheeled machines of The Engine Room Show this week. Humphreys and Cooper tell Moore about the bug issues that comes with being a biker, but it doesn’t sound like he’s sold on the idea of buying a crotch rocket.

Something else that also crops up during the lads discussion about car colours was what manufacturers call their elongated estate cars. As Humphreys points out, Mercedes call their ‘estates’ shooting brakes (pictured above). Here’s why, just in case you’re wondering.

Moore also gives us a little French lesson that might come in handy the next time you’re discussing cars with a French Citroen owner and the lads wrap things up by talking about the practicality (or lack there of) of hybrid cars.

For more great podcasts and other stuff from the lads check out their Facebook page, Twitter, their very own website which you can find over here. Don’t forget to check out their YouTube page while you’re there.
