Almost a quarter of all travel insurance claims happen in this one country.
South-east Asia is a must-visit travel destination for many of us but it's also home to one of the riskiest countries to travel to, according to new research from a travel insurer.
UK-based insurance company Endsleigh Insurance Services has revealed that Thailand is the number-one destination where travellers make a claim from.
It's a tropical paradise that lots of us have either already visited or want to hit - its glorious beaches, vibrant cities, stunning temples and ancient ruins attract millions of tourists from around the world each year but like any destination, it's not without its risks.
Issues like disease and injuries from adventure sports, as well as the country's popularity as a destination, mean that almost a quarter (23 per cent) of travel insurance claims to Endsleigh were made by customers visiting Thailand.
The most common type of claim was for medical expenses.
Other countries in the company's top ten list of most claimed-from destinations include Chile, the USA and Spain.
