While most of the damage inflicted by Storm Frank came inland, this video shows just how treacherous conditions were out on the seas.
This video was filmed by the Wildcat 60 team on Cork Harbour during sea trials in the most violent storm of the Christmas period.
These boats, and the people who sail them, are amazing to be able to withstand waves of more than 10m high.
We feel a bit sick after watching this.
