We’re used to seeing heaps of sh*t crash into each other in Russian dash-cam videos, but this one features an F1 car worth a few million euro being slammed into a concrete wall.

The ex-Formula 1 driver Kamui Kobayashi recently said he’d like to make a return to the sport after Sauber dropped him back in 2012.

However, the Japanese native only went and smashed an expensive Ferrari into a wall while driving around the streets of Moscow this week. Skip to 1:20 to see the crash in action.

In fairness to Kobayashi the track was soaking wet and it doesn’t look like he had enough room to get the tyres up to the right temperature for optimum grip. Still, it’s not the best way to show prospective sponsors that you’re ready to return to F1.

Even the guys from Ferrari have labelled the video, Kobayashi’s “Special lap”.
