Video: JOE visits the Irish Heart Foundation as part of Electric Ireland’s Powering Kindness week

JOE's being kind, are you?

JOE

It was the natural choice, because JOE has a massive heart.

Electric Ireland’s Powering Kindness week is back from January 17 – 23. This awesome initiative is designed to get us all thinking about how we can be kinder and it also helps some amazing charities raise much needed funds.

The three wonderful charities involved this year are The Irish Heart FoundationThe Marie Keating Foundation and ISPCCC Childline.

But how do they decide who gets the money, we hear you ask. Well, they don’t, you and your acts of kindness do.

Simply go on social media, tell us about your act of kindness using the #PoweringKindness while tagging @IrishHeart_ie, @MarieKeating or @ISPCCChildline. Then the organisation with the largest amount of kindness done in their name gets the largest portion of the €130,000 prize fund.

JOE is putting our weight behind the Irish Heart Foundation, while the lovely ladies at Her.ie are backing the Marie Keating Foundation and HerFamily.ie are supporting ISPCC Childline.

We sent our own Eoin Ronayne to check out the great work the Irish Heart Foundation are doing.

Eoin has a heart of gold (not literally), so he made the whole office tea when he came back and filed it under @IrishHeart_ie.

You should definitely do something kind as well, because kindness isn’t just good for the charities, it’s good for everyone else too.

Tell us about your kindness on social media by using #poweringkindness or by visiting poweringkindness.ie

To dedicate your kindness to charity make sure you include @ISPCCChildline, @IrishHeart_ie or @MarieKeating
