It was tight. Very tight.
It was hard to narrow down our list of nominees for Funnyman of the Year to just five… and then subsequently four after The Rubberbandits were removed at their own request for their own reasons.
In the end, less than 30 votes of a total of over 7,600 separated our winner, the Viper, from the hilarious David O’Doherty in second place, with Tommy Tiernan and Al Porter also gaining plenty of support from voters.
The Viper, who is no doubt strutting through Castletown today, sent us this brilliantly weird acceptance video:
