It appears that the best wedding entrance award for 2017 has been claimed with a mere two days to spare in the year.
A niche award in its nature we’ll admit, but surely the reputation alone is worth the sheer commitment.
Who, in fairness, wouldn’t want to be known as the couple who entered their reception on a ride-on lawnmower?
Sligo couple Tara Egan and Brian Fagan will forever be remembered for just that, after they tied the knot in the Radisson Hotel in Sligo on 27 December.
And we don’t think we’ve ever seen a wedding party have as much fun…
Newlywed Tara got in touch with JOE to fill us in on what made them chose their unorthodox mode of transportation.
”My husband is a landscaper so that’s why we chose to enter on the ride on lawnmower,” she said.
Naturally.
We were also informed that the bridesmaids were wheeled in one-by-one by the groomsmen. Incredible stuff.
